EKOMOD (2004-2005)

Major aim of the R&D-project EKOMOD was the improvement of the water quality within natural public swimming bathes. Based on monitoring data and prognostic model studies HYDROMOD succeeded to improve the hydrodynamic pattern within the pool resulting in a considerable shorter residence time within the entire basin. Furthermore the model results led to better hygienic conditions in the swimming bath and to an extensive decrease of operation costs.
